The better we know ourselves, the better we come to know God.  Why? Because God is relational and He has created us to be relational beings. We learn most about ourselves as we live in relationship with others. This is true with God as well. As we become self-aware and gain insight about ourselves, this opens up opportuntites for God's grace to work in our lives and make deep, inner changes within us.
